Norroa™ is the new varroa mite treatment that was just approved this year. Norroa™ is powered by vadescana, a new Mode of Action (MoA) for beekeeping. It is designed to specifically target varroa mites and works by stopping the production of mite offspring. Norroa™ targets a specific protein in varroa mites that ultimately stops their reproduction. The pouch application is quick and easy – no measuring or mixing needed. One treatment provides up to 18 weeks of varroa mite control, offering long-term protection and reducing the need for frequent interventions. Available in 2-packs and 12-packs.
Hive Alive fondant patties are packed with a precise dose of Hive Alive liquid and a blend of vitamins and amino acids. Chosen for optimal bee health, these patties are your colony's ticket to thriving, even in the toughest seasons. During early spring or a sudden cold snap, feed Hive Alive Fondant to support your bees when they need it most. Available in 1 kg patties individually and packs of 15.

Bees' immune system deteriorate due to constant exposure to pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and antibiotics. ProDFM restores healthy bacteria, revitalizing their immunity. Studies show that bees containing healthy gut microbiomes with Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) have consistently shown to have reduced spore loads against disease causing pathogens. Available in 10 treatment and 100 treatment packs.
VarroxSan is oxalic acid in slow-release fiberboard strips. Sustained release and high efficacy (average: 96.8%), means that VarroxSan can be used as a primary knockdown treatment, throughout the season. VarroxSan is approved for use during a honey flow, when supers are present.

If you are interested in getting started with bees this season, there is still one club that hasn't had it's first year beginner beekeeping class yet. Get with the East Richmond Beekeepers Association for their class on April 18th. They will teach you everything you need to know to get started with bees this year. They divide their class into four segments throughout the year, giving you just want you need to know for the next few months, following up with the next class to get you through those next few months. Rather than feeding you with a "firehouse of information" that you won't even remember, they take the time needed to give you the information you need now and not next year. Sign up now!
